Main Khiladi Tu Anari is a 1994 Hindi buddy action-comedy film directed by Sameer Malkan and produced by Champak Jain. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Raageshwari in the lead roles, with Shakti Kapoor, Kader Khan and Johnny Lever in supporting roles. The music was composed by Anu Malik.
The story follows Inspector Karan Joglekar, a tough and honest police officer who seeks revenge after his elder brother, Inspector Arjun, is murdered by gangster Goli. His life takes an unexpected turn when popular film actor Deepak Kumar begins following him to study his mannerisms for an upcoming police role.
What begins as an unusual relationship between a serious police officer and a carefree actor gradually develops into a strong friendship. Together, they become involved in a dangerous mission against the criminal underworld.
The film begins with Inspector Arjun Joglekar, a respected police officer who is determined to fight crime. Arjun comes into conflict with the powerful gangster Goli, who is involved in criminal activities.
Goli eventually has Arjun killed. His younger brother Inspector Karan Joglekar, played by Akshay Kumar, is devastated by the loss and decides to bring Goli to justice.
Karan is a fearless and disciplined police officer. He is determined to collect enough evidence against Goli, but the gangster is extremely powerful and has connections throughout the criminal world.
One of the important witnesses against Goli is Mona, played by Shilpa Shetty. Mona is connected to Goli but agrees to testify against him. Karan attempts to protect her, but Goli discovers the plan and eliminates her.
At the same time, Deepak Kumar, played by Saif Ali Khan, is a successful Bollywood actor who has become frustrated with being repeatedly cast as a romantic hero. He wants to play a realistic police officer in his next film.
After encountering Karan, Deepak becomes fascinated by his personality and decides to follow him so he can observe how a real police officer behaves. What Karan considers an annoyance gradually becomes an unexpected friendship.
Deepak's carefree and humorous personality contrasts sharply with Karan's serious and disciplined nature. Their differences create many comic situations, but Deepak gradually proves that he is more courageous and resourceful than Karan initially assumes.
The situation becomes more complicated when the two discover Basanti, who bears a striking resemblance to the deceased Mona. They decide to use her as part of a plan to bring Goli into the open.
Karan and Deepak work together to defeat Goli and expose his criminal activities. Their friendship becomes the heart of the story, with the two men learning from each other despite their completely different personalities.
The climax combines action, suspense and comedy as Karan and Deepak confront Goli and his gang. Their determination eventually helps bring the criminal network to justice.

The title song “Main Khiladi Tu Anari” became particularly associated with the on-screen friendship and comic chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.
Main Khiladi Tu Anari explores:
The central theme is the unlikely friendship between a serious police officer and a playful film actor who gradually become partners in fighting crime.
Main Khiladi Tu Anari was one of the five highest-grossing Indian films of 1994 and became an important film in the careers of both Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.
The film is particularly remembered for the energetic pairing of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. Their contrasting personalities—Karan's tough police-officer persona and Deepak's carefree film-star personality—provide much of the film's humour and entertainment.
It also became an important entry in the Khiladi series of Akshay Kumar films, although its story is separate from the earlier Khiladi (1992).
The soundtrack, especially “Chura Ke Dil Mera” and “Main Khiladi Tu Anari,” remains popular among fans of 1990s Hindi film music.
