The story begins in the kingdom of Pratap Nagar, ruled by Maharaja Vikram Singh.
Maharaja Vikram deeply respects his trusted commander Sangram Singh. Because of Sangram's years of loyal service, Vikram decides to elevate him and arrange the marriage of his daughter Princess Anuradha with Sangram's son, Prince Pratap Singh.
However, an incident involving a valuable necklace creates a serious misunderstanding.
Sangram's necklace, which had been given to him by Maharaja Vikram, is stolen. Sangram suspects his servant Ram Singh of the theft.
The conflict becomes more complicated when Sangram takes Ram Singh's young son and secretly exchanges him with his own son.
Years later, the children have grown up and the consequences of the old deception begin to emerge.
Princess Anuradha is sent to attend the coronation of Prince Pratap Singh and to approve him as her future husband.
She travels with her maid Kalavati, played by Mumtaz.
During the journey, Anuradha is unexpectedly abducted by the bandit Suraj Singh, played by Rajendra Kumar.
When Maharaja Vikram receives news of the abduction, he rushes to investigate.
But he soon discovers something shocking: the woman who appears to be Princess Anuradha is actually Kalavati, while the real princess has been taken away.
Suraj is eventually captured and imprisoned.
Meanwhile, preparations continue for Prince Pratap's coronation and his marriage to Anuradha.
The story then develops into a complicated web of identity, revenge and royal intrigue.

Princess Anuradha and Suraj also develop a romantic bond despite their very different circumstances.
Their relationship is challenged by the political and family conflicts surrounding them.
The truth about the identities and relationships of the characters gradually comes to light, bringing the various strands of the story together.
