IP Singh Songs Lyrics
IP Singh is an Indian lyricist, singer, songwriter, and composer known for his work in independent music as well as Hindi cinema. He is particularly recognized as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the Sufi-blues-rock band Faridkot and for his collaborations with Akshay Raheja as the music duo Akshay & IP.
IP Singh has contributed to several popular Bollywood songs, including “Nadiyon Paar (Let the Music Play Again)” from Roohi, “Lutt Putt Gaya” from Dunki, “Jehda Nasha” from An Action Hero, “Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Title Track” from Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, “Bansuri” from Hum Do Hamare Do, and “Chedkhaniyan” from Shehzada.
His songwriting work also includes “Lutt Putt Gaya”, written with Swanand Kirkire for Dunki (2023), while his work on Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui includes both lyric and vocal contributions.
About IP Singh
IP Singh, also known as Inderjeet Singh, developed his career through independent music before becoming associated with mainstream Hindi film music. He became known as the vocalist and guitarist of Faridkot, a Sufi-blues-rock band formed in Delhi in 2008 with Rajarshi Sanyal. The band gained early recognition after reaching the finals of Channel V's Launchpad in 2009.
His musical work gradually expanded from performing and singing to lyric writing and composition. In recent years, he has described singing as his first love while also developing a strong interest in lyric writing and composing.
IP Singh has been involved in songs across independent music and Bollywood. His collaboration on “Nadiyon Paar (Let the Music Play Again)” brought together Sachin-Jigar, Shamur, Rashmeet Kaur, and IP Singh. The song was associated with Roohi and was later featured in Crew.
He also co-wrote “Lutt Putt Gaya” from Dunki with Swanand Kirkire. The song was composed by Pritam and sung by Arijit Singh.
As Akshay & IP, he has worked on music for Bollywood projects including Crew, contributing to songs such as “Choli Ke Peeche,” “Darbadar,” and “Sona Kitna Sona Hai.” The duo also worked on the 2026 film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, with IP Singh credited as a lyricist and music director.
IP Singh has also collaborated with Grammy-winning musician Ricky Kej and has performed extensively as a live musician. His career reflects a combination of independent music, songwriting, composition, and Bollywood playback work.
