As a lyricist and composer, Tanishk Bagchi is associated with popular songs such as “Vaaste,” “Bolna,” “Ve Maahi,” “Aankh Maarey,” “Dilbar,” “Jehda Nasha,” and “Lut Gaye.” Several of these songs are recreated versions of earlier popular compositions, while he has also created original music for Hindi films.

About Tanishk Bagchi
Tanishk Bagchi was born on 23 November 1980 in Kolkata, West Bengal. He was born into a musical family; his parents are identified as musicians Nandakumar Bagchi and Sharmistha Das. He studied at Frank Anthony Public School and later attended Scottish Church College in Kolkata.
He began his professional music journey with the Bengali-language album City Life in 2007. He subsequently worked as a music producer and arranger and contributed to television and film projects before establishing himself as a composer and songwriter in Bollywood.
Bagchi's Bollywood breakthrough came with the song “Banno” from Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015), which he created in collaboration with lyricist Vayu. He later made his solo composing debut with “Samandar” from Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon.
He gained widespread recognition for songs such as “Bolna” from Kapoor & Sons, “Ve Maahi” from Kesari, and the recreated versions of “Humma Humma,” “Dilbar,” and “Aankh Maarey.” His song “Ve Maahi” also earned him a Filmfare nomination for Best Lyricist.
Tanishk has continued to work across film soundtracks and independent music. His more recent catalogue includes music associated with films such as Shershaah, Jugjugg Jeeyo, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, and Saiyaara.
