Sai Pallavi was born on 9 May 1992 in Tamil Nadu and was raised in Coimbatore. Her hometown is Kotagiri in the Nilgiris district. She studied at Avila Convent School in Coimbatore and later pursued medical studies at Tbilisi State Medical University in Georgia, graduating in 2016.
She developed an interest in dance from a young age and participated in several television dance programmes. Before becoming a leading actress, she appeared in the Malayalam film Kasthuri Maan as a child artist and later appeared in Dhaam Dhoom. Her major acting breakthrough came with Alphonse Puthren's Premam in 2015, where she played the popular character Malar.
In 2017, Sai Pallavi made her Telugu-film debut with Fidaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula. Her portrayal of Bhanumathi received widespread attention, and the film became an important milestone in her Telugu career. She subsequently worked across Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema, taking on roles in romantic dramas, family films, thrillers, and socially themed stories.
