Judwaa 2 (2017) Songs Lyrics
Judwaa 2 is a 2017 Hindi-language action-comedy film directed by David Dhawan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film stars Varun Dhawan in a double role, portraying the twin brothers Raja and Prem, with Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in the lead female roles. It is a reboot of the 1997 film Judwaa, which starred Salman Khan.
The story revolves around twin brothers who are separated at birth. Prem grows up in London as a shy and polite young man, while Raja grows up in Mumbai with a completely different personality. Despite being separated, the brothers remain mysteriously connected through their reflexes and eventually come together under unexpected circumstances.
The film combines comedy, romance, action and family entertainment, with much of the humour coming from the confusion created when the two identical brothers become involved in the same situations. Popular songs from the film include “Chalti Hai Kya 9 Se 12,” “Oonchi Hai Building 2.0,” “Suno Ganpati Bappa Morya” and “Aa To Sahi.”
About the Movie Judwaa 2 (2017)
udwaa 2 was developed as a modern take on the popular twin-based comedy formula of Judwaa (1997). David Dhawan, who also directed the original film, returned to direct the new version, while Varun Dhawan took over the double role previously played by Salman Khan.
The film begins with Rajiv Malhotra and his wife Ankita becoming parents to twin boys. After Rajiv helps expose a criminal network, circumstances surrounding the birth separate the two children. One twin, Prem, grows up in London, while the other, Raja, grows up in Mumbai. Years later, their paths cross again, leading to a series of comic misunderstandings, romantic situations and confrontations with criminals.
Varun Dhawan's performance in the contrasting roles of Raja and Prem forms the central attraction of the film. Jacqueline Fernandez plays Alishka, while Taapsee Pannu plays Samaira. The film also features a special appearance by Salman Khan, connecting it directly with the 1997 original.
Judwaa 2 was released in India on 29 September 2017 and became a commercially successful Hindi film. It was presented as a colourful, energetic family entertainer with comedy, action, romance and music at its centre.
